Driving around with your high beams on at all times of day...

Seems to be happening more and more around town, and the pinnacle of it happened today when this younger couple came in and said “we just bought this car and we were driving it and this blue light came on. I think its low on coolant, can you check?” Of course the coolant was fine, the blue light was...

wait for it...

the high beams.

I always thought it was *mumble*racial/cultural stereotypes*mumble*...

Seriously, though, it is really bad. Rampant in some parts of town where certain people tend to live, but also among rich people in general.

Damn. If only the illuminated light looked like this.

Oh wait, what’s that, it does! Some people really do have shit for brains.

If you drove around in the U.K. with high beams on all the time or indeed fog lights when it wasn’t foggy then you’ll very quickly get pulled over by the police and made to feel like an idiot for either accidentally knocking them on and not becoming aware of it or intentionally putting them on knowing it’s a driving offence. Also if your not behaved may result in a breathalyser test and if your arrogant with them possibly even a fine or points for not driving with due care and attention or driving with lack of due care for other road users.

I wish people would get pulled over in the states for not driving with due care or attention.
